DESCRIPTION OF RESEARCH
The focus of my research is in breast and gynecologic pathology.  I participate in many multidisciplinary research efforts, in conjunction with my colleagues in clinical and basic science disciplines.  I direct the San Antonio Cancer Institute’s Pathology Core, which supports investigators in all the research programs in the Cancer Institute.  The Pathology Core also houses a tissue bank with thousands of tissue samples available to investigators needing tumors or control tissues for their investigations.  Specialized techniques available in my laboratory include construction of tissue arrays and laser tissue microdissection.
