Description of Research

My clinical responsibilities include sign-out of cytologic and surgical
pathology (primarily gynecologic) specimens. I am director of the Cytology Laboratories of both Medical Center Hospital and the Audie L. Murphy Veterans Hospital and as of July, 1996 Acting Director of Anatomic Pathology. I am also Director of Cytopathology Fellowship and more recently the Surgical Pathology Fellowship Program. Another very important aspect of our laboratory is the University Hospital School of Cytotechnology, of which I am the Medical Director. We currently have 10 students enrolled in this one year certificate program. My clinical research interests relate to gynecologic pathology and cytopathologic diagnosis.
